Food Processing Editor Dave Fusaro and Eric Edmunds, JD, Director of Food Safety for The Acheson Group, will discuss the regulatory (FDA and USDA) and food safety changes coming into effect in 2021. These include both Nutrition Facts and Bioengineered labeling requirements, new FDA requirements for tracking and tracing and how agency (and GFSI) inspections are changing as a result of the pandemic.
Plant and food safety are more important than ever. Siemens’ Identification and Locating Consultant, Jeff Snyder, will talk about how positioning and tracking systems, primarily used to automatically identify and locate the exact position of objects, people and substances in real-time, can provide both safe food handling and processing procedures as well as a secure working environment.
